Walls and Floors

Walls should be flat, clean, and dry and in a firm, sound condition. Note that typical background surfaces, such as plaster or plasterboard are water sensitive. If the plaster has a dusty appearance wipe down with a damp cloth and prime with Dunlop Universal Bonding Agent.
Emulsion painted walls should be deeply scored prior to tiling.
Use Dunlop Ceramic Wall tile Adhesive on dry areas.
Rember to use Dunlop Bath & Shower Silicon Sealant in corners and junctions with other backgrounds, for example baths, basins and vanity tops as shown by the yellow key.

In shower and bath areas, ensure tiles are fixed in a solid bed of adhesive. use dunlop waterproof ceramic wall tile adhesive.
In wet areas use a waterproof grout such as Dunlop ready mixed grout. In other areas use Dunlop wall grout. Please note in power shower areas use an epoxy grout such as Dunlop Worktop & Shower Grout
When tiling onto existing ceramic tiling, allow three days before grouting.
Ensure adhesive and grout is thoroughly dry before using the newly tiled area.
Rember timber bath sides are prown to movement. Use Dunlop Waterproof Ceramic Wall tile Adhesive and Dunlop Wall Grout mixed with Dunlop Flexible Additive.
