Walls and Floors were delighted to be invited to help with the design layout and specification for floor and wall tiles required at the prestigious development at West Ham United FC, the club founded in 1895 has a history for quality, endurance and value and this is relevant in the tiles specified.
From the changing rooms and showers for both the home and away teams a durable non slip floor tile was supplied, the wall tiles were designed to withstand the impact of a football boot thrown at them in frustration and within the tile the hammers logo reminds all of the clubs history
The on site hotel complex incorporated non slip, easy clean floor tiles and a neutral wall tile to enhance it
The players bar floor area carried on with the historic theme incorporating rustic durable quarry tiles and border design
Other areas within the requirement were tiled with large format tiles to reduce the volume of grout lines and add style to the function rooms and directors areas.
The most prestigious feature of the project was the design and development in the main players entrance between the castle turrets of a four metre square club logo water jet cut from various hard wearing polished porcelain floor tiles incorporating the clubs colours, this is a stunning feature and was a pleasure to design.
