Nicky's front garden was lacking character. A stretch of concrete leading up to a breeze block wall, it was lifeless and grey. Nicky decided to add a lawn to inject some colour, a row of pebbles to break things up a bit and (the part that we like the most) some slate split face tiles to clad that breeze block wall. The split face tiles, made from natural slate, instantly add texture and personality to any wall space. They consists of strips of slate that have been cut to different thicknesses, heights and lengths, and bonded together to create a staggered and multi levelled surface.

Note: Generally, we do not recommend using natural split face tiles outdoors since they don't bare well in areas where water hits them directly. Instead, we recommend using split face effect tiles instead, which are made from durable porcelain and have a realistic slate look.
