Decorating your home, and need help choosing a colour palette? You’ve come to the right place. To help you Unlock Your Dream Home this season, we’re hosting a series of Dream Colour Schemes – stylish and exciting colour palettes you can invite into your interiors, to help give them a new lease of life. Sanguine is the latest addition to the series. It consists of a mixture of soft bases, ready to be ignited with bright pops of colour.
Your paint palette
For areas you don’t fancy tiling, you’ll want to use these paint hues. Use the lighter colours as your base tones, and the bright pinks and blues as accent colours. Due to the soft base of the palette, you could even paint or tile a whole wall in one of the bright hues, and it wouldn’t look out of place! Adding a focal / accent wall to a room will help to add interest to your scheme. You should also look to inject these accent hues through the introduction of accessories and soft furnishings.
Jannah Wood Effect Tiles
Nice, light and creamy in colour, Jannah Wood Effect Tiles are ideal for adding the soft base tone mentioned above. For extra interest, in the picture below, they’re been used to frame a stunning statement floor. The Zeinah Moroccan Tiles consist of geometric patterns in white and black. As you can see, the pink and blue accent hues have been used in the form of accessories on the side, as well as in a piece of wall art.
Elongated metro tiles with a smooth gloss surface, Rhian Tiles are perfect for filling wall spaces with blocks of colour in a stylish and contemporary way. Here, a base of white Rhian Tiles has been used on the wall, mirrored by white matt tiles on the floor. To help break up the vast void of white, a line of pink Rhian Tiles has been used; running horizontally through the wall and acting as a border. The other wall has been tiled bright blue from top to bottom – creating a striking accent wall that fills the room with interest and energy.
Pomona Wood Effect Tiles
Another realistic wood effect with a luscious cream tone, these Pomona Wood Effect Tiles. They are perfect for forming the soft base required by this colour scheme. In this colourful living room, the hues have been added in the form of vases along the windowsill, along with a bright selection of cushions on the sofa.
Have fun with this colour scheme. Feel free to experiment – just remember the premise – use the light colours as the base for the majority of the room, and inject the bright hues in relative moderation (accessories and the occasional accent wall).
