Create a rustic, rural appearance in your living room with the simple addition of these Rich Brick Slip Effect Tiles. They consist of a brick effect design in warm, rusty browns, with 18 faux brick pieces featured in each tile. They are a realistic, time-saving alternative to brick slips, and allow you to create the stylish appearance of a brick wall where there wasn't one otherwise. To get the full effect, order a sample tile. For a tile grout that matches the faux groutline contained within these tiles, we recommend using Mapei Ultra Colour Plus 112 Tile Grout

Are these tiles none porous as I was thinking of using them behind the cooker.
Bill | 28 Sep 2020
Answer logo
Hi Bill

Thanks for your query.

These tiles are fine for use behind a cooker. Just make sure they are fitted with an adhesive that has a flexible additive.

Kind regards

Question logo
Are these suitable to use on a chimney breast where a woodburner will be in use? The plan is to cover the external part of the chimney and also the internal part where the woodburner will sit. Thanks!
April | 23 Jun 2019
Answer logo
Hi April

These tiles are glazed porcelain which makes them heat resistant and fine for use on chimneys and around log burners. However, we do recommend they are fitted using an equally heat resistant adhesive, such as the Palace Heat Resist:

Question logo
Are they suitable for use in a kitchen?
Katy Baine | 8 Jan 2019
Answer logo
Hi Katy,

Yes they are, but due to the weight you will need to ensure the surface being tiled is suitable. The combined weight of the tile and the adhesive is 26kg per sqm, so it is not advisable to install onto plaster or plaster skim (limit of 20kg per sqm). However they can be installed directly to cement render (100kg limit), bare plasterboard (32kg) or a cement based tile backer boards such as Hardiebacker (200kg). Being porcelain, we also advise fixing with a cement based adhesive such as Stand Flex:

Question logo
Does the rich brick effect tiles needs to be put into plasterboard or can they be out on to brick walls?
Laura Gunbat | 8 May 2018
Answer logo
Hi Laura,

These tiles can be put on to plaster or brick, providing neither of them are skimmed. Brick walls can be smoothed in advance using a sand:cement render if required or it can be primed and tiled onto directly. Once the preparation is done, the tiles can then be installed using the StandFlex Adhesive:
