These natural quartzite mosaics aim to provide a contemporary texture across your favoured wall space. The natural crystalised dark grey stone combined with the undulating surface design aids in the creation of a sparkling formation alluring to a dark, yet luxurious ambiance. These natural split face tiles fit perfectly with the latest architectural and lifestyle trends - allowing you to keep at the forefront of interior design.

> Made by hand

> Sparkling, glittery appearance

> Natural slate

> Characterful textured surface

To help keep these tiles nice and clean, we suggest using LTP Grout Stain Remover. Natural stone tends to be slightly porous, so we recommend sealing your fantastic new tiles with either LTP Grout and Tile Protector or LTP Mattstone Sealer. To keep your tiles looking fresh and new, apply LTP Waxwash Maintenance.

Due to the nature of these tiles we do not recommend for use in shower areas or areas that receive direct water to the surface. The manufacturing process of these tiles can leave very small joints that are difficult to completely seal.

Hello Harriet

Thank you for your query.

When installed correctly these tiles would be fine for that type of project.

Kind regards

How do you fit sockets to a wall with split face tiles? Also are they suitable behind a cooker.
K | 2 Apr 2019
Answer logo
Hello and thank you for your enquiry.

They can be used as kitchen splashbacks behind a cooker, however, as they cannot be grouted, gaps will be present for cooking splashes to sit in, and it would be more critical for hygiene purposes that they are regularly cleaned. Although they would be fine anywhere else in the kitchen, a more practical solution for directly behind the cooker could be a porcelain split-face effect tile, such as this:

As for fitting around sockets, the same method can be used as any other tile, by removing the faceplate, cutting the tiles to leave just enough room for the screws, and fitting the faceplate back over the top. However, due to the uneven surface, it may be necessary to router the edge slightly to allow the socket to sit flat unless you handpick the flattest tile for this specific purpose.

Question logo
Can you describe the colour of these do they have a hint of blue/green in them or are they just black
Fiona Jarvis | 9 May 2018
Answer logo
Hi Fione,

The tiles are a black Quartzite slate which varies in colour from black to the dark/mid tones of grey. They are a natural stone so each tile will vary, but it would be recommended to obtain a sample to ensure you are happy with the colour and finish before ordering.

Hi can you use these tiles behind hob and sink in kitchen.
Janet Clark | 28 Feb 2018

Hi Janet,

Yes they can. We would advise sealing them with two good coats of the LTP Mattstone sealer to minimise the risk of staining:
