Hi,
Looking at the pictures of the tiles on a wall, it's very hard to discern what size gap (if any) is between each tile, could you tell me what gap or tile spacer i'd need and also the color grout that was used? Many thanks :-)

Hello and thank you for your enquiry.

The image supplied is from the factory and the grout joint is only 1mm which people have used before without issue, although the minimum recommended grout joint is 2mm.

We have no information as to the exact grout used, but the closest we have would be the Norcros 4 Into 1 Silver grey. Ultimately the choice of grout colour is personal preference, and should you wish to view other possible options, samples can be provided from out Norcros 4 Into 1 range:

Question logo
When used in a shower area what is the best way of seating the shower valve front plate as the tiles have an uneven finish?
Chris Lewis | 15 Mar 2019

Answer logo
Hi Chris

The undulations in the tile are very shallow and shouldn't cause an issue, so the usual method of cutting a hole for the valve and fixing the plate by overlapping the tile with a neat bead of silicone should be sufficient. The only other suggestion which would be smarter but more complicated and time consuming would be to cut the hole, router the surface by 1-2mm so that the plate sits slightly in the tile.

Can these be used in the shower area?
Sarah | 24 Nov 2018

Answer logo
Hi Sarah,

These tiles are glazed ceramic so fine for use in showers. However, as with any tile installation in a wet area, it is recommended that the surface to be tiled is made waterproof by way of a Tanking Kits such as the Ardex WPC:

Hi
If I use this for a feature wall what other tiles work well with it? What are the tiles in the example photo for instance?

Thank you

Hello and thank you for your enquiry.

In the images the complimentary tiles used are the Salon Graphite Matt for the floor and as a colour contrast, the Stone Age Creamy Stone on the right hand wall:

https://www.wallsandfloors.co.uk/stone-age-tiles-creamy-stone-40x25-wall-tiles

Due to the varying shades in the tile, almost anything grey go but for further suggestions and samples, please call our sales team on 01536 314730 and they will be more than happy to assist you.

What colour grout would work best with these tiles?
Many thanks
James Kelleher | 14 Mar 2018

Answer logo
Hi James,

Grout colour is personal preference, and due to the multiple shades included in the tile, there is no set colour to match. However the Mapei Cement grey is a good colour to compliment the mid-grey shades in the tile and is one of the most popular colours among previous customer. Closely followed by the slightly contrasting London Grey grout which ties in with the tiles darker shading:

Can natural Gris floor tile be suitable with under floor heating?
Laura Sheldrick | 9 Mar 2018

Answer logo
Hi Laura,

This tile is only suitable for walls I’m afraid. You can always check a tile's suitability in the tile specification section on every page of the site. Most porcelain and ceramic tiles are fine for under floor heating but you can always contact us for anything more specific.

Kind regards,
Walls and Floors

Question logo
Would you recommend white or grey grout with these tiles? If grey, which shade?
Sheena Stracey | 2 Mar 2018
0
Answer logo
Hi Sheena,

The grout colour is entirely down to personal preference. White will be very bright and make the tile stand out, whereas if you wanted to compliment the faux grout lines on the tile, albeit not an exact match, the London grey is very close and is one of the most popular among previous customers:

Whats the best way to cut these tiles?
Sheena Stracey | 2 Mar 2018
0
Answer logo
Hi Sheena,

These tiles are glazed ceramic and can be cut in the same way as any other regular tile. Straight cuts can be accomplished using a manual "score and snap" cutter, 500mm in length or longer, and angled shapes can be achieved with a wet cutter:

Can this tile be used in shower cubicles?
Heather Carrigher | 13 Jan 2018

Answer logo
Hi Heather,

Thank you for your question. These tiles are fine to be used in a shower area, or anywhere on a bathroom wall. Try using LTP grout and tile protector spray after the tiles are fitted to keep your tiles and grout lines looking clean and fresh https://www.wallsandfloors.co.uk/ltp-cleaning-protecting-ltp-grout-tile-protector-sealer
