Question logo
Is this product compatible with anhydrite (flow) screed?
matt | 16 May 2019
Answer logo
Hi Matt

This leveller can be used on Anhydrite screeds but requires a specific course of preparation to be compatible.

Allow the screed to dry out in accordance with the manufacturer’s instruction, ideally to a moisture content below 0.5% or 75% RH (Relative Humidity). Mechanically sand the top latence crust and remove all dust and loose material e.g. by vacuum etc. Underfloor heating should be commissioned to ensure the screed is stable, before priming with 2 coats of an SBR Primer (second coat applied at 90⁰ to the first):

The first coat should be diluted 1:4 with clean water and the second coat diluted 1:2 with clean water. Allow each coat of primer to dry before proceeding. Once primed and dry, the levelling compound can then be applied.

If you wish to discuss your project in more detail or to arrange samples or a quotation, please call our Sales team on 01536 314730 or request a call-back via the link below, and they will be more than happy to help you.
