DESCRIPTION

This self-adhesive 300x300 plastic mosaic mesh product sticks to the back of a mosaic sheet and holds it in place on the wall. Sometimes, unaided mosaic sheets can sag and lose their shape (particularly heavier materials such as marble and natural stones); but this fantastic Genesis Mosaic Mesh sheet holds the miniature tiles firmly in place, giving you a fantastic consistent finish.

what a super idea by someone. really makes tiling easier. Feel in control of the tiles instead of the mosaics taking on a life of their own. Spacing accuracy can't get much easier.

are you able to cut this to fit different sized mosaic meshes?

Hi Kathryn,

The mosaic backing mesh from Genesis can be cut quite easily to fit smaller sections of mosaics, helping you to fix the more intricate parts of your designs.

Kind regards,

Question logo
Can you confirm the thickness of the tile mesh please. Can it be used in conjunction with tile adhesive on order to 'pack' the mosaic as I am using a slightly thicker tile on the walls, the mosaic is intended as a border feature. Thank you
Carol Brougham | 20 Sep 2018

Hi Carol,

The depth of the mesh is only 1mm, and as it beds into the adhesive, will provide very little height gain. It is design to make the sheets more rigid to make them easier to install, so you could still benefit from using them.

However, to use mosaics in conjunction with thicker tiles, the best way to achieve the correct height is to skim the area with adhesive, at the correct depth (the difference between the mosaics and the tile), then leave it to set before installing the mosaics on top.

Hi, we are interested in stainless steel mosaic but we want stainless steel sheet at the back of the tile. Do you have such product?
Derya | 26 Jul 2018

Hi Derya,

Unfortunately not. The majority of mosaics we supply have standard mesh backings which can be made more rigid by using the Genesis plastic Mosaic Mesh.

Hi Can the mesh sheets be used on floors.
Jim | 30 May 2018

Hi Jim

These sheets can be used for both wall and floor mosaics. However you will need to ensure the adhesive makes direct contact with the mosaic through the mesh by giving the a light back skim of adhesive or using a deeper notch trowel.

Can you tell me if this mesh is easily cutable with scissor, I intend to use mosaic tile as decoration line above my future bathroom walls tiles

Hi Luc,

These sheets are plastic so can be cut with the likes of a pair of kitchen scissors or stanley knife.
