Fixing Guide

To fix Trepanel® we recommend using either 38mm screws or Mapei Super Grip Panel Adhesive. One panel requires 15 screws or one tube of adhesive.

Each piece of veneer is a natural material, and so may undergo changes when exposed to light for long periods of time.

Please note: We do not recommend use in areas close to a heat source, e.g. a hob or fireplace, or where they will come into direct contact with water.

Can these boards be installed behind a tall radiator? Our Advice

Hi Gemma, Trepanel cannot be used behind a radiator as the heat may affect the veneer on the panels. These Panels are not to be used anywhere near a heat source for this reason. Kind regards, Walls and Floors.

Is it possible to hang a picture or a mirror on the panelling?Our Advice

Good Morning Simon, Yes, it is possible to hang a picture or mirror on the Wall Panels, but it requires careful installation. The panels consist of wood slats mounted on a felt backing. While the slats provide some structural strength, they are not designed to bear heavy loads on their own. To safely hang items, the fixings should go through the panel and anchor into the solid wall behind it. We do not recommend relying solely on the panel material to support weight, especially for heavier items like mirrors. For light artwork or frames, appropriate wall anchors, screws, or picture hooks that are suited to your wall type can be used, provided they go through the panel and secure into the wall itself. I want to match the paint finish that is there on double denim blue wood panel to the wall in my room. Can you suggest standard Hex colour code or RAL color code (matching with the wood part of the panel) for the wall. Basically what colour should I paint my wall to match with the wooden part of the panel? Thank you.Our Advice
