Our Victorian green Metro tiles look fabulous in our fireplace, around our new wood stove and chiming with the subtle green wallpaper. We appreciate their perfect consistency in size, colour and finish. The slight transparency across the shoulder of the bevels looks excellent. Grout is light grey.

Do these tiles need the crackle glaze protector if only being used for decorative purposes on a non-functional fireplace hearth? Will the grout seep into the crackle lines if not sealed? Thanks!Our Advice

Are these tiles suitable in a shower? I have been told that as they have copper in the tile the colour runs away, is this correct ?Our Advice

Hello These tiles can be used in a shower provided the sealing and maintenance guide is followed. The tiles have a crystalline glaze which requires sealing. The tiles must be sealed before grouting and at least another 2 coats afterwards. To clean them, you must use a Ph neutral tile cleaner to ensure the sealer doesn't wear away as this will affect the glaze. Kind Regards Walls and Floors
