We've spotted a growing trend on Instagram. It seems every week now, we're tagged in another fabulous piece of mosaic artwork, where our customers have created magnificent entrance 'mats' using mosaic tiles! They're the perfect way to greet guests into the home, whilst flexing some creative muscle at the same time!

Mosaic tiles come on a mesh backing, which is really easy to cut using a craft knife. If you order black and white sheets, you can easily cut out patterns, numbers and letters, and perfect your design before fixing it in place on the floor with adhesive and grout.

The designs below all use our Bijou Hexagonal White Mosaic Tiles, combined with Bijou Hexagonal Black Mosaic Tiles.

Here are some great examples...

The grout still needs to be done but for a DIY Saturday afternoon I am pretty damn pleased with this! Taking inspiration from the queen of monochrome herself @thehousethatblackbuilt and these mini honeycomb mosaic tiles from @wallsandfloors. Big shout out to my super star handy husband, who always indulges me even if I am continually pecking his head with yet more interior ideasπŸ–€ #mosaictiles#mosaicfloor#honeycomb#blackandwhite#monochrome#monochromatic#ihavethisthingwithfloors#wallsandfloors#tiledesign#tilefloor#hallwaydecor#hallwayinspo#beforeandafter#diyhomedecor#statementfloor#makeanentrance#welcome#comeinside#myinteriorsquares#myhouseandhome#darkdecor#styleitdark#myinteriorstyletoday#storyofmyhome#sorealhomes#styleithappy#interior123#myhomevibe

β€’ Day 6 - Love it or loath it β€’ The stairwell and those black painted original windows 😬. If you swipe left you will see how it looked when I moved in and my god I LOATHED IT!! I know the painted frames arent to everyone taste but I do think it works with the mosaic tiled floor. Theres still a lot to be done like painting the door, some black framed prints on the right wall and I cant wait to have the carpet fitted up the stairs. But for now it's a hell of a lot better than it was and I do love it. What do you guys think did I go mad painting those window? πŸ˜‚ sometimes I wonder. @myhousethismonth #myhousethismonth #stairwell #stairwellrenovation #myhomereno #entrance #homesofinsta #periodproperty #myhomestyle #homesofinsta #periodhomesofinsta #renovationsos #mosaictiles #blackandwhitetiles #interiordecor #myhomedesign #renovationideas #originalwindows #myrenostory #monochromehome #glasgowhomes #glasgowflat #scotlandhomes #glasgowinteriors #pimpupmypad

And just like that, we're back from our trip, it's been 4 days and somehow it's become winter since I left. Yesterday I was sweating in a bikini, today I'm 5 layers deep and freezing, welcome home. πŸ‘‹ Day 23 @myhousethismonth floor it | my greatest DIY achievement are these tiles, most people would put them in an entrance, not me. Right between two kitchens (long story) but this was once the back door which is why the doorway is so wide, so it's right in history. @storyofmyhome let there be light | it's 07:12 and it's still dark outside, how long till winters over? #victorianrenovation #renovation #flooring #tiles #diy #octoberchallenge #interiorchallenge #dailychallenge #originalfeatures #myhousethismonth #storyofmyhome
