DESCRIPTION
These gorgeous, stylish Ledgestone Thin White Grey Split Face Tiles have a natural textured finish. The multi-layered slate is very modern. It will bring any room to life. Order some samples to appreciate the full effect of these excellent oyster slate splitface mosaic tiles. They're made from pieces of shaded natural slate, cut to different sizes and thicknesses, and bonded together to create a staggered, textured, multi-levelled surface.
These tiles are premium quality, and the slate pieces have been hand selected to ensure a high quality finish. They are ideal for creating a high end, exclusive look in your home or business.
To help keep these tiles nice and clean, we suggest using LTP Grout Stain Remover. Natural stone tends to be slightly porous, so we recommend sealing your fantastic new tiles with either LTP Grout and Tile Protector or LTP Mattstone Sealer. To keep your tiles looking fresh and new, apply LTP Waxwash Maintenance.
Due to the nature of these natural slate splitface tiles we do not recommend for use in shower areas or areas that receive direct water to the surface. The manufacturing process of these linear slate tiles can leave very small joints that are difficult to completely seal

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS (8)
We don't have images of this exact tile, but there is an image on the Rustic Multicolour Ledgestone that shows a butted corner (10th image down, corner of a bar):

Another method for wrapping corners is cut a tile and mitre the edges at 45 degrees to fit them together. If you would like to discuss your project in more detail, please call our sales team on 01536 314730 and they will be more than happy to help you.

These tiles are naturally frost resistant so fine for use outside. To make the fully weather proof, they would need sealing with the LTP Mattstone Sealer:

Slate/Quartzite is naturally heat resistant so these tiles will be fine. We recommend the Palace Heat Resist adhesive for fixing any tiles in areas and conditions subject to excessive temperatures:

Yes they can. One of the more popular adhesive we supply for this tile is the S1 deformable Stand Flex. If the temperature is likely to reach 100 oC, we also have the Palace Heat Resist:

Yes, these tiles can be used on normal bathroom walls. However as they are not intended to be grouted, they are not recommended for use directly in wet areas such as around a bath or in a shower.
If you are intending to do a feature wall directly in a wet area, you could consider a porcelain split-face effect tile as an alternative:

Being a natural stone, you would require a cement based powder adhesive. If you are tiling onto plaster, the would need priming although any surface you tile to could benefit from the use of a primer before application. They would also need sealing with the LTP Mattstone sealer. For cutting, you would need some form of electric cutter, either a wet-saw or an angle grinder with a diamond blade.
One further instruction we advise is that due to the back of the tile not being perfectly flat, you would need to back butter the tile as well as spreading the adhesive on the wall with an 8mm notched trowel:

These tiles are designed to butt together when interlocked and do not need grouting, however we do recommend sealing them with the LTP Mattstone once fixed:
