Hi Amy These tiles can be used behind a wood burner. However, it is a characteristic with ceramic tiles, that with temperature fluctuations, faint crazing in the glaze can occur over time. To minimise the chance of this happening, we would suggest fixing the tiles with a heat resistant adhesive, such as the Palace Heat Resist. Hi Julie, The colours of ceramic tiles are not made to any specific RAL, British Standards or NCS paint codes. Although we would nominally class the tile as a pure white, we would recommend obtaining a sample tile so that you may compare to various paint samples before making your final decision.
