You will need:

700g Transparent Natural Honey Soap Base
700g White Natural Goats Milk Soap Base
1 x Moulds
4 x Candy Canes
Peppermint Essential Oil
Red Water based Colouring
Cling Film
2 x Microwaveable Bowl
2 x Mixing Spoons

Step 1:

Line the base of your mould with cling film and crush 3 candy canes, scatter in the bottom of the mould.

Step 2:

Take 350g of the White Natural Goats Milk Soap Base in a microwavable bowl and heat for 45 seconds>
Stir, then repeat process for 15 seconds at a time until all the soap base has melted.
*Be careful not to burn the soap it can go brown just like food!*

Step 3:

Pour the Melted Soap Base into the mould and place in the fridge for around 20 minutes.

Step 4:

Take 350g of the Transparent Natural Honey Soap Base in a microwavable bowl and heat for 45 seconds>
Stir, then repeat process for 15 seconds at a time until all the soap base has melted.

Add enough of the Red Water Based Colouring to significantly change the colour of the liquid, then add several drops of the Peppermint Essential Oil, stirring thoroughly.

Step 5:

Pour the red layer of Melted Soap Base into the mould and place in the fridge for around 25 minutes.
*This will take slightly longer to set due to the addition of colouring and essential oil*

Step 6:

Repeat Steps 2-5 to create the next two layers of your soap.

Step 7:

Leave your soap to set over night in the fridge or in a cold room – you may wish to cover the mould to prevent any dust or bacteria settling on your soap.

Step 8:

Remove your soap from the mould and turn upside down!

You will see that the crushed candy cane has settled into the top of the soap, if you wish to add to this, simply crush the remaining candy cane, place the soap under a low grill for 10-15 seconds and sprinkle the crushed candy across the top.

Step 9:

Display your soap or cut into 2cm thick slices to prepare as Christmas gifts!
