Think Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness
As part of Breast Cancer Awareness month, the staff at Walls and Floors have gotten involved and chosen to raise both awareness and some much needed funds for this important charity.
Fun and Games include a raffle with prizes such as a meal out, a chocolate hamper and a whole load of alcoholic drinks, as well as the chance to donate and wear pink all day and join in with the national wear it pink day, which some people took a lot further than others (Karen we are looking at you!)
Karen was one of the organisers of the event, along with Nina and Sophie, who said “Most of us know someone who has been affected by not only breast cancer, but all forms of cancer or who is currently fighting it, we all wanted to do something to show our support for women around the world who are going through this, show them they have support, and do what we can to stop women going through this in the future”
The fun wasn’t restricted to just the ladies in the office, as the guys in the warehouse joined in with all the activities. It’s important to remember that breast cancer doesn’t just affect women but can affect men too.
Breast Cancer Now have been working hard since 2002 to raise awareness of Breast Cancer and how to detect it earlier and increase the chances of survival. Their website is full of ways to get involved with the charity and how to check for any signs of the disease.
