Is Installing Wood Wall Panels Easy? Yep, Here’s How!

Installation is DIY-friendly and efficient, requiring no specialist tools. Our wall panels are designed for speed, accuracy, and longevity. Lightweight boards are easy to handle, and fixing can be achieved with high-grab adhesive or screws depending on the substrate. Tongue and groove joints ensure alignment and stability, while in wet areas, approved sealants maintain a watertight barrier.

FAQ’s

How do I install wall panels? 

To fix Trepanel® we recommend using either black matt coated 38mm screws or Mapei Super Grip Panel Adhesive. One full-size panel requires 15 screws or one tube of adhesive. Check out our installation guide for more information. 

Can I paint or customise wall panels? 

We do not recommend painting your Trepanel® wall panels, as they already come with a beautiful veneer that is pre-finished in a variety of colours and designs. 

Are wall panels suitable for bathrooms or kitchens?

Our standard Trepanel® wall panels with felt backing are not suitable for bathrooms or areas of the kitchen that will come into contact with water, however, we do have a wide range of Aqua bathroom wall panels that will suit both kitchens and bathrooms, providing you follow their installation advice. 

Can I order a sample of the wall panels?

Yes! We offer cut samples of our wood slat wall panelling, just hit the ‘cut sample’ button on the product page of the panel you’re considering!
