Top 5 Tile Trend Predictions for 2022

2021 has seen some gorgeous trends. From seamless living to bringing the outdoors in, we’ve been inspired by our time indoors and our longing to get back to nature.

Now, we’re looking towards rich, luxurious hues, bold patterns and warm, welcoming spaces as an escape from the outside world.

We’ve put together five of the top trends we’re anticipating for 2022…

1. Terrazzo

Vintage, versatile and visually appealing – terrazzo is making a comeback.

Traditionally made with flecks of marble, these stunning tiles get their name from the Italian word for ‘terrace’, as construction workers would bring home scraps of marble to press into clay and make their own, unique designs.

Our Terrazzo Hexagon Tiles are designed in a modern hexagon design in three stylish shades: green, pink and grey.

Made from durable porcelain, they’re suitable for walls and floors with a matt finish and an R10 anti-slip surface. We think they look gorgeous when used as a splashback to capture their quirky shape!

2. Green

The colour of life, renewal, nature and energy, green is increasingly becoming a major trend in interior design.

Green tiles can offer a different look depending on style and shade. Light green tiles give a cool, fresh look which helps to create a calm and soothing environment, whereas deeper greens are bold and intriguing – perfect for creating a bold splashback or eye-catching feature wall.

Our Plush Victorian Crackle Tiles are great for vintage, Victorian-style homes with their rich hue and deep, indulgent glaze. Made from ceramic, they are designed with distinctive bevelled edges and a delicate crackle glaze for an antique, time-worn appearance.

3. Bold patterns

Patterned tiles are an excellent way to add depth and character to a space as they draw the eye towards them, helping to highlight certain areas of the room.

Whether you’re going for a sleek and stylish contemporary look or a vintage-styled retro design, patterned tiles are great to use to enhance a theme.

Our Zebra Tiles are designed in a bold, linear pattern with a black and white colour scheme. Although they may not look like much individually, they can be orientated to create a range of different designs to intrigue and delight your guests!

4. Moroccan

Beautiful and unique, Moroccan-styled tiles bring feelings of warmth and relaxation as their rich hues and exotic patterns longingly remind us of vacationing abroad once again.

Inspired by baked terracotta, our Harbour Russet Tiles are designed in warm, earthy tones with an aged, weathered appearance. They’re made from durable porcelain with a natural matt finish, and they pair beautifully with our Anchor Chalk Tin Style Tiles to create the Moroccan look. Natural, handcrafted and imperfect, these tiles have a stunning look that adds depth and charm to any space.

5. Deep blue

Bring a timeless look to your interiors with deep blue tiles. Rich and indulgent, these moody hues create a luxurious and expensive feel to any room they’re in.

The deep hue works brilliantly in contrast with lighter tones to create a chic, modern look.

Our Hope Tiles have a rich blue colour with a variety of tones for a distinctive appearance. Made from durable ceramic, they are designed with a reflective, high shine glaze that’s perfect for cascading light around the room.
