Hi,

Are these no slip? If not, could you advise as to which flooring is non slip?

Many thanks,

Hi Mark

Thanks for your query.

These aren't an anti-slip tile and would have the potential to get slippery when wet. I advise looking in the anti-slip section of the website for something more suited to that type of project.

Question logo
Are the tiles suitable for a school (vinyl tiles)
john Kitley | 13 Jun 2019

Answer logo
Hi John

These tiles are glazed porcelain, so suitability will all depend on the area they are to be installed. These tiles are Grade 4 which means they would be fine for areas of moderate foot traffic with occasional dirt on the surface. However, in heavier traffic areas, we would probably suggest a grade 5 tile with a higher wear factor. Another thing to bear in mind is that although the matt finish will provide some grip in wet conditions, they are not classed as anti-slip, so from an HSE stand-point would only be suitable for guaranteed dry areas.

If you wish to discuss your project or alternative ranges, please call our sales team on 01536 314730 and they will be more than happy to assist you.

are these tiles non slip?

Hi Rachael,

These tiles are not anti-slip but the matt finish does give a limited amount of grip in wet conditions. We would recommend obtaining a sample to ensure they are suitable for your personal requirements, before making your final decision.

Do these tiles need to be sealed after installation?
Hayley | 13 Oct 2018

Answer logo
Hi Hayley,

As a matt finish porcelain tile there is no real requirement for these tiles to be sealed, however it is good practice for them to be cleaned thoroughly after the grouting process (once properly dried) with https://www.wallsandfloors.co.uk/ltp-cleaning-protecting-ltp-porcelain-tile-cleaner-1ltr to ensure any residues have been removed. It is also a great long term cleaner for the tiles and very economical too.
