The tile wasn’t what I was looking for and didn’t resemble a reclaimed brick. The service however was swift and easy to request a sample

Thanks for your query.
It's most common to use a tile trim on raw edges of these tiles to give a neat finish, this one is popular

The faux mortar lines in the tile do vary slightly in shade, so although there is not an exact match, tend to find the Mapei Ultracolour Medium Grey, the closest and by far the most popular choice:

These tiles are porcelain, which makes them naturally heat resistant and fine for use around a wood burner. However, we would recommend that they are fixed with a suitable heat resistant adhesive, such as the Palace Heat Resist:

These tiles can be installed on to breeze block providing it is flat and primed with a suitable SBR primer. However, if it is a new wall, it may be susceptible to settling movement, which could cause the tiles to crack. In which case overboarding the wall with bare plasterboard or our Hardie Backer boards would be beneficial:

These tiles including the fixing materials will weigh approximately 26-27kgs per sqm which exceed the weight limit of plaster skim (20kg's per sqm). But bare unskimmed plasterboard (32kg limit) or Hardiebacker (100kg+) would be suitable backgrounds:
https://www.wallsandfloors.co.uk/tile-preparation-sealants/hardiebacker-board-james-hardie
Once the wall is suitably prepared, we would recommend they are fixed with a flexible cement-based adhesive, such as our Stand Flex:

Staggering the joints is the best option to ensure the outline of the tiles is less uniform and visible. They can be stagger brick bond or to make them blend in even further, you can lay them at random lengths.

This tile although originally designed for walls, they are heavy-duty enough to be used as a floor tile. As with any porcelain tile, they can be cut with a manual tile cutter, but you may find a wet cutter or angle grinder easier for doing irregular cuts.

These tiles are glazed, but providing the surface is primed properly before painting, I see no reason why this would not work. We would advise obtaining a sample and taking it to a paint specialist to get further recommendations.

Could I use these on a plasterboard stud wall in an office or would they be too heavy?
Andy
These are fine to be installed onto bare plasterboard as its weight limit is 32kgs per sqm. However, if it has been skimmed, the weight limit for plaster drops to 20kgs per sqm which makes the tiles too heavy.

Although the tiles are textured, they are glazed and therefore any marks around the hob will sill come off fairly easily. Being glazed porcelain they are impervious to moisture so also ideal for use in showers. Our recommended cleaner for both kitchens and showers is the LTP Multiclean, which combats limescale and drastically reduces further building-up, making them easier to clean in the future:

These tiles are porcelain so can be used on external floors but we would only advise it for smaller areas, no larger than 10 sqm. The grout joints created by the interlock are smaller than the recommended grout width of 3mm, leaving little room for thermal expansion during a temperature cycle. You would also need to ensure there is complete coverage of adhesive under the interlocking pieces to prevent them from breaking under foot traffic.
These tiles do have a rough texture so will provide some grip in wet conditions, but they are not certified as an anti-slip tile so we would recommend obtaining a sample to test and ensure that the finish is suitable for your personal requirements, before making your final decision.

We do not recommend tiling onto paint as it can emulsify when in contact with wet adhesive. But equally as important is that plaster can only support a maximum weight of 20kgs per sqm when the tiles and adhesive are close to 26kgs.
You can plasterboard a masonry wall by dot and dab and placing mechanical fixings through the dabs to sufficiently anchor it to the wall, or for skimmed stud walls, it may be quicker to replace the existing plasterboard or attempt to remove the skim ensuring the board is not damaged. Alternatively, you can install a backer board as per the manufacturers' instructions, such as Hardie Backer:

These tiles are glazed porcelain and therefore impervious to water and excellent for use in correctly prepared wet areas. As with any tiling project, it is essential that the walls to be tiled in the immediate wet areas are made waterproof with a suitable tanking kit, such as the Ardex WPC:

These tiles are glazed porcelain, which makes them naturally frost resistant and fine for external wall use. We would recommend fixing to a solid wall such as brick or render, with a flexible cement based adhesive such as our Stand Flex:

We do not recommend fixing these tiles butt-jointed. As with any building material, they need for expansion caused by environment fluctuations. In dry areas, using a 1-2mm joint will be sufficient, however leaving them ungrouted will not give you the intended seamless appearance. To complement the Faux mortar lines in the design, the Mapei Ultracolour Medium Grey will be the closest:

The faux mortar line on the tiles on the tile vary in shade so there is no exact match. We would recommend using the Norcros 4 Into 1 grout and the most common colour is silver grey. However we do provide grout samples for this range and would suggest obtaining a sample of both the tile and a selection of grout colours before making your final decision.

These tiles are glazed porcelain and naturally heat resistant so fine for use in areas of excessive heat. We would recommend fixing them with the Palace Heat Resist Adhesive:

These tiles are porcelain and resistant to excessive temperatures. This makes them ideal for use in areas subject to excessive heat, when fitted with the Palace Heat Resist Adhesive:

The pattern of the tile is embossed to emphasis the shape, but have a much softer matt glazed texture to what you would get from a real brick and remain much easier to clean. We would recommend you obtain a sample to ensure you are happy with the colour and texture before placing your order.

The interlock of these tiles will allow for a grout joint of 1-2mm. To blend the tiles in, most customer use the light shades of grey grout from out Mapei Ultracolour Range:

These tiles are glazed porcelain so perfectly suited to wet areas. They do not require sealing but the grout lines would benefit from an application of the LTP Grout & Tile Protector:

For external corners, a 10mm square edge tile trim provides a neat finish https://www.wallsandfloors.co.uk/aluminium-round-edge-trims

The colour of grout used is down to your own personal taste, but most customers choose one of the light greys from the Mapei Ultra Colour Grout range: https://www.wallsandfloors.co.uk/mapei-ultracolour-plus-grout.
