Are these suitable for a wetroom for floor?Our Advice

Hi Roy. The recommended grout line set by British Standards is 2mm for the wall and 3mm for the floor. If you wish to have a larger grout line, that is absolutely fine as long as they are no smaller than stated above. Kind Regards Walls and Floors

However, they would only really be suitable for the walls as they don't have an anti-slip surface and so aren't the most practical for floors. Hi, regarding the weight in product info, is this per sqm? Ask as wondering if suitable to go on plastered wall with 20kg per sqm weight limit (inc adhesive and grout). Also at 7mm is this range definitely suitable for floor? Many thanksOur Advice

Hello and thank you for your enquiry. The weight of the adhesive should be no more than 4kg, so you will still be within the limit for tiling onto a plastered wall. As for the thickness of the tile, they are porcelain which is stronger than regular ceramic and perfectly fine for use on the floor. It is a misconception that the thinner a tile is, the less suitable, as regardless of the size and providing they are installed correctly with a 100% solid coverage of adhesive for support, it will perform just as well as a thicker alternative.
