Enjoying quality time in your home is an essential in colder months and, given the year 2020 has been, particularly this year!

Having a warm and cosy ambience in your home is a great way to create a backdrop for fond and amazing memories, and this blog is designed to inspire you to create these moments!

Come Home to Cosy Nights...

Create a warm and cosy living room is perfect for those colder months. Replace bright LED lights with warmer toned bulbs, add some textured throws and a large rug, and get the fire crackling! Cuddle up with some hot chocolate and snacks and you've got yourself the perfect homely night (in our opinion anyway!).

We're loving the Scandi-style of Jade's living room, and our Scintilla Tiles look gorgeous as the background to her log burner. Better yet, soft-touch wooden flooring would warm the room up even more with its snug feel - so ditch the slippers!

Come Home to Fun...

Home time is for enjoyment, so have some fun this season! Crack out the board games and spend some quality time arguing (with jest) about Professor Plum and Old Kent Road, or whether Aquafaba is actually a real word.

Accompany with nibbles and a tub of chocolates, and you've got the best games night to enjoy quality time with those around you!

Come Home to a New Style...

Out with the old, and in with the new! The season switch up from Summer to Winter is the perfect time to integrate new trends and styles in to your home, ready for the new year.

Having new furnishings and decorations not only brightens and livens your home, but it subliminally influences your brain to accept positivity and change for the next stage in your home development - and life!

We're loving our new Lily Tiles for Gatsby glamour, and their variety of shades means you can take your style from opulent and bold, to pretty and pastel! Add them as a tiled rug in your dining room for a twist on tradition underneath the dining table at Christmas dinner - you know you want to.

Come Home to Flavour...

Winter is for cooking! We love the warm, spiced flavours of Christmas - and they even double up as a gorgeous aroma for your home!

Why not check out these recipes to try for colder months? Eggnog, mulled wine and gingerbread houses are definitely feel-good recipes that we can get behind.

Come Home to the Great Outdoors...

The outdoors is marvellous, and spending time there shouldn't stop in winter. Prep your garden in style for outside quality time with a firepit, chimenea, or even winter BBQ.

Take this opportunity to toast marshmallows and watch the meteor showers - there are five taking us through to the new year! A lovely relaxing way to spend time outside and make the most of your garden this season.

Our Lakeside Russet Slate Effect Slabs are perfect for a warm touch to chilly outdoors with their characterful and crimson colourway. We love how they look with a blazing fire, adding depth and colour to cold nights.

This year has been a difficult one for many of us, and we really hope this blog post will help lift your spirits and make the most of the remaining months of 2020.. so you can come home to a home you love.
