4 -- Tiles suggested for all residential floors; moderate to heavy traffic areas, e.g. bathrooms, halls, kitchens, conservatories and wall applications. Also suitable for light traffic commercial floors, that are walked on by regular traffic (e.g. entrances, commercial kitchens, hotel, exhibition and sales rooms).

DESCRIPTION

A mix of rich reds, these Traditional Brick Slip Effect Tiles are perfect for adding a rustic, stripped-back finish to a wall area. They allow you to create the illusion of a brick wall; a trend that's sweeping across the nation's most stylish hotels and restaurants. With 18 faux brick tiles to a tile, they're a lot easier to apply to a wall than brick slips. They have a soft matt finish. For a grout that matches the faux groutline contained within these tiles, try our Mapei Ultracolour Plus 112 Tile Grout

Can these tiles be used over external insulation, instead of render or Hardie Planks? We are struggling with planning permission, but feel it may be difficult to object to nice bricks.

Hi Tony

We only recommend external wall tiling onto render, brick or block. External insulation and the Hardie Planks would not be suitable substrates to tile over directly.

If you wish to discuss your project in more detail or to arrange samples or a quotation, please call our Sales Team on 01536 314730, and they will be more than happy to help you.

Hi,
I have bought these tiles to go in my kitchen. Just wondering if they need to be grouted as a friend of mine said he had used similar and grout wasn't required?

Hi Chris,

These tiles, we would recommend grouting. The interlock is a tight fit but still leaves a small gap for moisture to get in behind the tile and potentially cause problems over time. We would recommend the Norcros 4 Into 1 grout as this is fairly fine and suitable for tight grout joints:

Hi, Would these be suitable behind a cooker instead as a splashback?
sharon lee | 1 Aug 2018

Answer logo
Hi Sharon,

These tiles are porcelain, so heat and moisture resistant and fine for use on kitchen walls. Due to their weight, they cannot be installed onto plaster skim, but can go directly on bare plasterboard, render or Hardie Backer Boards, and require fixing with a cement based adhesive:

Can these tiles be used on a wall that is not flush as there is a 20cm in depth x 15cm width pillar sticking out half way through the wall I want to use it on?
Rakesh | 21 May 2018

Answer logo
Hi Rakesh

Yes they can. Tile the main walls as normal and follow the pattern of the tile onto the pillar by cutting the tiles to size. The tiles at the external angles of the pillar can either be Mitred or you can use a tile trim such as this:

Question logo
Hello there... just a quick one.... would these be suitable for a Kitchen floor.... ? are they hard wearing enough for heavy traffic.... many Thanks
Brian Pawsey | 17 Mar 2018

Answer logo
Hi Brian,

These tiles are grade 4 porcelain and so durable enough to be used on a floor, including heavy traffic floors, previous customers have predominantly used these tiles as a wall covering. We would recommend ordering a sample to make sure the style and colour are suitable for your project.

Kind regards,

Hi Jacqueline,

The tiles are a glazed porcelain. So they are waterproof and suitable for showers and wet room areas. They can also be used as external cladding.
