Here at Walls and Floors, we’ve just launched our 4 interior trends for 2018! This is an introduction to trend number one, Craftsman’s Journal, where we’ll tell you a bit about the trend, and how to achieve it in your home.

An explanation of Craftsman’s Journal

Our exclusive designer Louisa Charlotte explains the trend: ‘Animated by discovery, Craftsman’s Journal will provide an escape to a self made sanctuary. Modernised shapes are combined with crafted layering, raw edges and intricate patterns for a soulful spin, whilst burnished hues and rustic undertones implement warmth and enchantment; Take your home on a new adventure.’

In other words, it’s all about creating a warm and rustic look in your home – think ‘cosy woodland cabin’.

5 examples of Craftsman’s Journal in action

Here, our dark Isoline Tiles create a cosy kitchen splashback! Combine with the wood effect flooring and the roaring fore, and you’ve got yourself a Craftsman’s Journal cooking space. Top tip: When tiling a wall with brick tiles, why not try mixing matt and gloss finishes in the same colour?
