Hi Jacqueline

Yes these tiles are suitable for use around a fireplace. We would always recommend using heat resistance adhesive in these areas: https://www.wallsandfloors.co.uk/palace-heat-resistant-tile-adhesive-10-kg

Hi Wendy

The trim used in the image is the Genesis Brushed Copper Square edge trim. We currently do not have this available, but it will be due to us in the next few days. If you wish to place a provisional order for these, please contact our sales team on 01536 314730, and they will be more than happy to help you. Alternatively, we also have the Brushed Copper Straight edge trim that may also suit your requirements:

Question logo
Would these tiles be suitable for a bathroom and a hallway?
Janice Robertson | 15 Feb 2019
0
Answer logo
Hi Janice,

These tiles are fine for use in all internal domestic situations, including for bathrooms and hallways. The raised texture will give a degree of slip resistance when wet, but we would recommend obtaining a sample to ensure they are suitable for your project before making your final decision.

Are these tiles suitable for flooring? (it says they are here but in your catalogue it just says suitable for walls)
Miss Dark | 13 Dec 2018

Hello and thank you for your enquiry,

These tiles, although most popular for the walls, can also be used on floors. They are a grade 4 ceramic which means they can be used in any internal domestic situation. We would recommend obtaining a sample to ensure suitability for your personal project, before making your final decision.

Question logo
Does the patina vary on each tile?
Miss Dark | 13 Dec 2018

Answer logo
Hello and thank you for your enquiry.

The raised pattern is the same on all tiles, however, there are some very subtle variations in the pattern colouring.

We would recommend obtaining a sample to ensure you are happy with the colour and design before making your final decision.

Question logo
Would these tiles be suitable to use for a hearth for a log burner?
Carla lee | 1 Nov 2018
0
Answer logo
Hi Carla,

These tiles are a hard grade ceramic so can be used in areas subject to heat. If the burner will be sitting on the tile, it is essential to get full coverage of adhesive (Palace Heat Resist) to sufficiently support the weight. Due to the raised surface, extra care should be taken when moving items across the surface.
https://www.wallsandfloors.co.uk/palace-heat-resistant-tile-adhesive-10-kg

If you have not done so already, we would recommend obtaining a sample to ensure you are happy with the design before making your final decision.

Question logo
Would these be OK for an external feature wall right next to a fire pit?
Martin Macdonald | 28 Aug 2018
0
Answer logo
Hi Martin,

These tiles are ceramic and and therefore frost resistant but not completely frost proof. So they should be fine on external walls but would not be guaranteed against long term crazing or cracking following the fluctuations of wet weather and cold temperatures.

can you suggest a floor tile that would compliment these beautiful tiles
Sarah Noordewier | 17 Aug 2018

Answer logo
Hi Sarah,

The design and background colour of this tile are fairly unique so it is most likely that you would need to go for a contrast to use this tiles as a feature. I have passed your details over to our sales team who will contact you shortly to establish your requirements and offer you some suggestions.

Hi Kawser,

Due to the weights involved with fitting tiles we wouldn’t suggest they are ever fitted to ceilings.

Would these tiles be suitable to be used for an outdoor project?
G Collins | 10 Jul 2018

Answer logo
Hello and thank you for your enquiry,

These tiles are ceramic to not completely frost proof. However they could be used as an external wall tile providing they remain undercover (such as a canopy) and protected from adverse weather conditions.

Question logo
What type of adhesive need to use for a standard wall?
isi | 10 Apr 2018
0
Answer logo
Hi Isi,

We recommend the use of a slow setting cement based adhesive such as the Stand Flex:
https://www.wallsandfloors.co.uk/toolshed-tile-adhesive-standard-flex-grey-tile-adhesive

Due to the weight of the tile, these cannot be installed directly on to plaster due to the weight limitation of 20kg's per sqm (including 3-4kg's of adhesive). We there advise they are installed direct to bare unskimmed plasterboard, or a specially design tile backer board such as Hardie Backer:
https://www.wallsandfloors.co.uk/hardiebacker-board-james-hardie
