Cleaning and Maintenance
- Our Crackle Glaze must be sealed, we’d recommend LTP Crackle Glaze Protector. Your sealant should be applied both before and after you grout your tiles.
- When it comes to cleaning your Crackle Glaze tiles, please use LTP Stonewash. Do not use an acidic household cleaner which may damage your beautiful tiles.
- Ensure you fully seal all tiles, following our downloadable care & maintenance guide, especially if the intended use is within a shower area.

Q & A
Hi Frank It's not recommended to use crackle glazed tiles behind a log burner do to the temperature changes which may cause the glaze to flake I'm afraid. Regards Walls and Floors
Hi Sam This particular tile only comes in one size, but we do have a couple of similar colour tiles with a standard glaze, rather than the crackle, that may be of some interest to you: https://www.wallsandfloors.co.uk/retro-metro-tiles-bevelled-brick-teal-gloss-tiles https://www.wallsandfloors.co.uk/prismatics-gloss-blue-aqua-tiles-teal-gloss-oblong-prg16-tiles If you wish to discuss your project in more detail or to arrange samples or a quotation, please call our sales team on 01536 314730 or request a call-back via the link below, and they will be more than happy to help you. https://ideas.wallsandfloors.co.uk/request-a-callback Regards Walls And Floors
Hi Fiona, Yes they can. There are two main considerations to make. The first is that as with any shower tiling situation, the walls will need waterproofing with a suitable tanking system, such as the Ardex WPC. Secondly, the tiles will need 2-3 coats of sealer to prevent water penetrating the crackle. For this, we would recommend using the LTP Crackle Glaze Protector: https://www.wallsandfloors.co.uk/ardex-tile-preparation-sealants-ardex-wpc-waterproof-protection-coat https://www.wallsandfloors.co.uk/ltp-cleaning-protecting-ltp-tile-crackle-glaze-protector The link for the Crackle Glaze Protector, also contains a video that helpfully shows the sealing process. However please call our sales team on 01536 314730 should you require any further information. Regards Walls And Floors
