DESCRIPTION
Inspired by the popular encaustic tiles of yesteryear, these Ledbury Powder Blue Pattern Tiles are perfect for introducing a characterful statement floor or feature wall in your bathroom, kitchen, hallway or living area. Made from ceramic, they can be used on both walls and floors and have a charming satin finish. These large format tiles have a grid scored into the surface which you grout into, to give the illusion of multiple tiles. Anti Slip grade is R10/PTV rating +36 in the wet.
We highly recommend pre-sealing Ledbury tiles, before grouting, with LTP Porcelain Protector. Due to the nature of the anti-slip glaze, some grouts may cause a slight discolouration. Pre-sealing ensures the perfect finish and also aids future maintenance. For sealed glazed floor tiles such as this, we recommend regular cleaning with the LTP Porcelain Tile Cleaner.
> Easy to fit without losing the traditional look and feel
> Suitable for walls and floors
> Encaustic styled pattern

Advice please?!!!
Thanks for your query.
We never suggest bleach is used on tiles and grout. It is best to use a product specifically made for cleaning tiles like https://www.wallsandfloors.co.uk/ltp-cleaning-protecting-ltp-porcelain-tile-cleaner-1ltr which won't affect the tiles colours or surface but will still clean effectively.

Thanks
White grout can discolour depending on the type of traffic it is likely to receive. This can be helped by sealing the grout, with the LTP Grout & Tile Protector. Alternative, a grey grout is also a very popular choice which is better a disguising discolouration.

Epoxy grout can be used, but it is more difficult to work with and essential that any residues from the grouting process are removed before it has a chance to set.

What grout would you recommend for this powder blue tile to go on a bathroom floor? Bathroom is upstairs so hopefully not too many muddy boots walking on it. We already have Manhattan grey grout for some other tiles and I am wondering if that colour would work on this too to reduce wastage? Thank you.
We would not recommend using the Mapei Ultracolour for this tile, as it is too grainy to sit in the score-line. Instead, we would advise using the BAL Micromax 2 in Gunmetal as the closest alternative:

Couple of questions:
1) Is 19.85 kg is per 5 tiles or 7 tiles?
2) We are planning to use these on a skim plastered bathroom wall - are these tiles appropriate to use on this surface?
Many thanks,
RB
19.85 kg's is the weight per square metre (5 tiles). For plaster and plaster skim, the weight limit is 20kg's per square metre, which this tile will exceed once you take the fixing materials into account (approx 24kg's total). We would recommend fixing these to bare plasterboard (32kg limit) or a tile backer board such as Hardie Backer (100kg+ limit). If they are also being installed in a shower area, both of these substrates would require tanking in the wet areas, with the Ardex WPC before tiling:

Thank you.
A complimentary tile is down to personal preference but would suggest that a matt white wall tile to match the background colour of the floor. We would suggest obtaining samples to compare before making your decision but here are a few ideas:

Or I'd welcome some advice on whether grey grout would be less obvious than white!
Thanks, Ali
The tiles have been scored so the brown line in the tile can be grouted over in a colour of your choosing. Once finished it will give the impression of being four smaller individual tiles.
White grout will blend in better with the background colour of the tile, whereas a grey grout will contrast and make the tiles design stand out. We can provide samples of our Norcros 4 Into 1 Grout should you wish to compare colours before making your final decision:

These tiles are glazed ceramic and excellent for use on all forms of underfloor heating. It is vital to ensure that the heating is correctly commissioned before the tiles are installed. Should any cracks appear in the screed, we would advise installing a decoupling membrane, to prevent the cracks radiating to the tiled surface:

Yes they can. Even being a flat finish, this tile has a micro texture that when kept clean, gives a surprising amount of grip, even in wet conditions. We even had them independently tested to confirm and they have been deemed safe for bare-foot wet areas.
We would still recommend obtaining a sample to test as the anti-slip needs of every individual will vary and we would want you to ensure you are happy with the finish before making your final decision.

There are no borders specifically designed to match the Ledbury tiles. However a Victorian style border can be improvised with our Olde English spare parts in a colour combination of your choosing, or you can go for one of our preset designs (the colours of which can be customised when ordering by phone). The pieces used are of a very similar texture. For further assistance in picking out colours and possible designs, please call our sales team on 01536 314730 and they will be more than happy to help.
